Carl Icahn sells casinos

The well-known multimillionaire Carl Icahn has decided to sell four of his casinos to the company Goldman Sachs. These four casinos have together around 4,912 hotel rooms, and 122 table games as well as 5,610 gaming places. Also it includes 17 hectares of land around the Stratosphere casino.

The American Icahn, who is the current president of American Real Estate Partners, has decided to sell his four casinos that are located in Nevada. He sold them to the firm Goldman Sachs, who paid 1,300 million dollars (about 957 million euros).

The transaction implies the sale of the society American Casino & Entertainment Properties, which includes the casinos Stratosphere Casino Hotel & Tower, Arizona Charlie's Decatur, Arizona Charlie's Boulder and Aquarius Casino Resort.

“We think that this sale represents an opportunity for American Real State Partners to take advantage of the current great environment of the market for the active games and to get significant gaining in our investments in the industry”, said Icahn.
