Over 400 slot machines were disabled during the control inspection of the Treasury of the Mayoralty of Valencia, with the purpose of preventing the operation and permanence of gambling equipments in non-authorized commercial establishments.

During the last two weeks, the officials appointed by the Department of Inspection and Control of Games and Legal Bets of the City Council of Valencia, have visited about 80 commercial establishments, among lottery agencies and other places, where illegal slot machines have been detected, according to the Treasury Director Pedro Llobet San Nicolás.

“Most of the north and south part have already gone through the controls and we have carried out a census of the businesses that have functioning machines that violate article 27 of the Law that controls casinos, bingo rooms and slot machines, as well as article 92 of the Organic Law for the protection of the child and the adolescence, because they allow minors to handle these machines”.
